Abstract

Condensation of 3-aryl-4(3H)-quinazolinone-2-carbaldehydes with different substituted aniline under reflux conditions afforded a series of Schiff bases (imines) containing quinazoline moiety. The formed quinazoline Schiff bases were obtained in good yields. The structures of synthesized Schiff bases were established on the basis of spectral data, 1H NMR and IR spectroscopy.
